Speculative Design is what you get when you cross science fiction with real-world interests. By earnestly exploring ideas of technology and their effect on life, we can gain legitimate insights into what we want to make of our world and the things in it.
Brought to you by Georgia Tech and the LMC 6399 course of Spring 2014, this site showcases my design fiction: the Storymark, a device inspired by research in narrative generation and concerned with its potential benefits for education.
The primary products are the images, which were made in the free open-source programs Inkscape (for the wireframes) and Gimp (for the final products). See “Concept” for an explanation of what it is and “Process” for details on design and composition.
